Common Signup Problems:
When you sign up for GotVoice service we perform a test on your phones to verify the information you have entered is correct and compatible with our software. If there is a problem with the signup, we'll send you an email letting you know how to correct it. Below are the most common problems encountered.
Incorrect phone number:
- If you enter an incorrect phone number into our system, we won't be able to retrieve your messages. To fix this, please follow the link in the error-notification email or log back into http://www.gotvoice.com, and click on the "Phones Settings" button in the left margin. Use the "Correct" button to reenter the correct phone number and then Save. GotVoice will test your phone number again and send you a confirmation email when your phone has been successfully tested.
Incorrect PIN:
- If you enter an incorrect PIN number, we won't be able to access your voicemail. To fix this, please follow the link in the error-notification email or log back into http://www.gotvoice.com, and click on the "Phones Settings" button in the left margin. Use the pencil & paper edit icons or the "Correct" button to correct the PIN number for each phone that was in error. GotVoice will test your phone number again and send you a confirmation email when your phone has been successfully tested.
- If you have forgotten your PIN number, you can visit the website of your telephone service provider or call their customer support number to have it reset.
Incorrect provider:
- If we detect that you have entered an incorrect service provider upon sign up, we will send you an email. Please follow the steps outlined in the link contained in the email to resolve this issue.
Note: If you don't see your provider listed, unfortunately we do not support your phone at this time. Feel free to click the link to be notified, and we'll let you know as soon as we begin coverage with your provider.
Incorrect email address:
- If the email address you provided to us is incorrect, we won't be able to send anything to you. To correct this problem, you must sign up for GotVoice again using a valid email address. We will send you an email confirming your account has been configured and is ready for use.
